Pink polish with diamond detail

It's November!

Which means less than 30 days before I can start decorating my appartment! Hooray! I truly love Christmas.
I mentioned in a previous post that I was going to buy a christmas stamping set. However! The shipping costs were ridiculous! So I gave up on that one..
I did however buy another set from a different site - but not a christmas set. The site also had a sale on nail stickers, so I bought a bunch of those as well (including christmas themed ones)!
My package should arrive tomorrow, so I will upload pictures of my newly acquired items.

In my last post I showed you a picture of a base coat and a pink polish I bought.

I really like the base coat! It feels strong and it really does smooth out the nail.
And I am in love with the colours. It is very light pink at it has great coverage. It is, as mentioned, part of Rita Ora's line for Rimmel London, and is called "Lose your lingerie".
I added a little diamond at the base of my nail to made it more feminine and shiny to look at.

I hope you like it!

Pretty pastel with glitter effect

It's payday!

Wuhu! Must. Buy. More. Polishes.
I have so many polishes I think I'll never be able to use them all..

Yesterday I got a chance to use my yellow pastel however. I used a gold glitter topcoat on top to give it a golden effect. I really like the outcome.
What do you think?

Again I must appologize for the picture quality. I am trying out different settings on the camera, and even though I think the picture looks slightly blurry, the yellow colour corresponds more to the truth, than my previous picture.

On a totally different note.
Today I had a minor breakdown. It came out of nowhere and I had a hard time dealing with it since it was in a semi-public room (my classroom). Luckily I have some wonderful friends who helped me, and calmed me down!

In an attempt to brighten my mood I went on a little shopping trip. It helped. A LOT.
I bought two new polished (two for the price of one) by Rimmel London.

Nurse Nail Perfectionail is a basecoat by Rimmel London. It is supposed to hide imperfections and ridges, and to "protect and perfect". I have been looking for a new basecoat, and I thought this looked and sounded great. + It was a good deal (I really do love those..)

The second polish is called "Lose your lingerie" and is a candyfloss pink colour by Rimmel London's Rita Ora line. It's a quick dry polish (and I usually find Rimmel's quick dry polishes to work really well and look pretty). I think once again the picture does not bring the colour justice, but I will try to upload a picture wearing it, so that the colour shows better.
It's really feminine and beautiful, and I can't wait to try it!

Oh! And btw:

Have a safe Halloween!

October faves and a good deal

Love  makes you blind!

I say this because I only realized now as I was uploading that I made a mistake in the picture of my October faves!
Don't worry, it's not a huge mistake, it is just a minor error that proves how I am blinded by love when I look at these items!

These items have been my October favourites! I love the autumn colours in the polishes, and I have been absolutely ADDICTED to the Lip Syrup by H&M (*cough* I forgot to turn it the right way, so you can't really see front *cough* my mistake *cough*). I have kept it close, since my lips during autumn and winter dry out and become insanely annoying, and I can't help but apply it every ten minutes. Not that my lips need more of it - it stays very well on the lips and doesn't dry out - I just LOVE the smell and the feel of it!
The rings are also from H&M and are part of a bigger set of 8 rings in different sizes. I have been wearing these three every since I bought the set almost a month ago (it was on sale - yay!). I will try to put up a picture in my next post so you can see what they look like on.
The polishes are:
220 Knitted Gold by Maybeline New York (Colour Show line)
311 Caramel Cupcake by Rimmel London
359 Little Brown Dress by Rimmel London

NOW!
I really love sales. I am a sucker for a good deal. And this was truly just that - A. GOOD. DEAL.
Yesterday I was randomly looking through sales things in a local supermarket (I was actually there to buy some christmas lights for my tiny christmas tree) and I found these two pretty polishes!

I have for a long time been looking for a light yellow polish (the picture seems to make them look a little darker than they actually are - they are beautiful pastels). And there it was! Laying amongst soaps, bake molds and other non-wanted items! And right next to the pretty yellow polish was it's sister - pretty green polish!
And best of all? They were only 5 danish crowns each! Which is LESS than 1 dollar.

Now that's a good deal!

Petrol nail with spiky effect

I bought a new colour!

Okay, first of all I should explain myself: Why did it take me more than a week to create another post? Two reasons!
First: A massive amout of workload fell from the skies and landed on my desk last week. Translations, readings and all sorts of things. Someone needs to stop throwing things at me..
Second: My boyfriend stole my camera. And let's be honest: phone cameras do not work for these sorts of things!
I am sorry for the delay and hope that I will be able to post more the upcomming weeks (I am planning on buying a stamping tool with christmas motives! I am a huge fan of christmas).

Back to the colour!
Well, I guess it not so much a colour as it is an "effect". It is sort of a dark petrol colour with spiky glitter.
"Spiky".

Despite the fact that I feel the name does not fit the actual effect, I do like it. I think it has a beautiful shade of dark petrol and it really suits my other petrol polish.
For this design I used the petrol polish as my base, and used a dotting tool to make a little dot-effects on my fingers. On the ring finger I used some striping tape to create the pattern (I later realized this looks like the peace-sign, which was not originally my intention).

I hope you like it!

Ps. As this is my first picture I apologize for the quality. I am on the hunt for a good picture processing program, and still working on my camera's different settings! As we say in Japanese: sumimasen (I am sorry)!

First post

So it happened.

I have created this blog. Why? Well, I would like to share what I do in my daily life. Don't worry, I won't post my every step here. I will however share what I find interesting or things that make me happy.
I have realized that even though I have a boyfriend, a wonderful family and supporting friends, I can't help but feel solitary. Therefore, I try to take joy in the smallest everyday things. This might be pictures, words of the day, or experiences.
I have recently taken up nail art - something that has interested me for a long time. I think it is beautiful and creative, and for me it is something that put a smile on my face.
When I do my nails, I can't help but feel happy, because once done, it brings a sense of accomplishment.

I made this blog to upload the things I find wonderful on a daily basis, and thus to realize that things aren't always as bad as they seem.

I hope you will follow my journey, and share thoughts and experiences of your own.

Let's go!
